Trezor Wallet® | Starting Up Your Device®

Secure your crypto in minutes with this simple step-by-step guide.

Introduction to Trezor Wallet®

Welcome! If you’re reading this, you’ve either just purchased a Trezor hardware wallet or you’re thinking about starting your crypto journey with one of the most trusted tools in the industry.

Why Use a Hardware Wallet?

A hardware wallet stores your cryptocurrency’s private keys offline, reducing your exposure to online threats. Even if your computer is compromised, your crypto stays safe.

What You Need to Begin

Step 1: Verify Your Device

Make sure the holographic seal on the box is intact. Contact Trezor Support if anything looks suspicious.

Step 2: Connect to Your Computer

Use the USB cable to connect your Trezor®. Go to suite.trezor.io to begin setup.

Step 3: Install Firmware

Follow on-screen instructions to install the latest firmware. This step ensures that your device is running the most secure version.

Step 4: Create Your New Wallet

Select Create New Wallet. Your Trezor® will display a recovery seed. Write it down and keep it safe.

Step 5: Confirm Recovery Seed

You'll need to verify your seed by confirming words. If any are wrong, you could lose access to your crypto.

Step 6: Set a PIN

Choose a secure PIN to prevent unauthorized access. Multiple incorrect entries will wipe the device.

Step 7: Access the Dashboard

Once setup is complete, you’ll enter the Trezor Suite dashboard. From here, you can manage coins, send/receive crypto, and adjust settings.

Step 8: Add and Manage Coins

Click Add Account to add supported coins like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and more. Each coin has its own wallet space.

Step 9: Receive Crypto

Click “Receive” to get a QR code and address. Always confirm the address on your Trezor® screen.

Step 10: Send Crypto

To send funds, input the address, amount, and fee. Confirm everything on your device before completing the transaction.

Optional: Enable Passphrase

For added security, enable passphrase protection. Each passphrase opens a separate wallet. Use this only if you understand how it works.

Safety Tips

Recovery & Reset

If your device is lost or damaged, use your recovery seed on another Trezor® to restore access. To reset your device, use Trezor Suite—but back up first!

Final Thoughts

Trezor Wallet® helps protect your digital wealth with strong offline security. With just a few steps, you take full control over your crypto—free from centralized risks and online vulnerabilities.
